Mobile Engine Privacy Statement
This privacy statement is effective from February 9, 2021;
This privacy statement explains how
Accenture collects and uses the data of users of the mobile engine “Accenture NewsPage SFA”. This privacy
statement may be updated regularly, and changes will be reflected in this
mobile engine. Users are recommended to check regularly the Privacy Policy link
in the mobile engine and app store (i.e. Apple App Store, Google Play and/or
Windows Store). For any change in the purposes of the processing, revised
notice, and consent, if applicable, will be provided.
Accenture is processing your
personal data for the following purposes:
To enable Accenture to
provide you pursuant to a services agreement, with the services and any
associated products or services, including uses compatible with providing the
service, to enable Accenture to operate its business and communicate with the
users of its services and products.
What information does the mobile engine collect
and how is it used?
Accenture collects
information via mobile engine in two ways: (1) directly (for example, when you
provide information to log into the mobile engine or complete a form within the
mobile engine), and (2) indirectly (for example through mobile analytic
technology).
We may collect and process the following
information directly from you or the company for which you work: first name,
last name, user credentials, geo-location and indirectly device information
like model, OS, memory and MAC address.
Automatically Collected
Information – The mobile engine may
collect certain information automatically, such as the
type of mobile device you use, mobile operating system, the amount of time you
spend in the mobile engine, and information about the way you use the mobile
engine. This mobile engine may also use certain analytics software that
enables Accenture to better understand the functionality used in the mobile
engine so that Accenture can continue to improve the mobile engine. You
can stop continued collection of information
by the mobile engine easily by opting-out of
data collection in mobile engine Settings
section or by uninstalling the mobile engine.
To uninstall the mobile engine you should use
the standard uninstall process of your mobile device. However, please
note Accenture will retain any previous usage information collected from the mobile engine according with the retention section
of this Privacy Statement, How long do you keep my information for? Paragraph
below
Additional functionality enabled
For those individuals that have
consented to the installation of any apps and any updates
that are released through the app store, you further understand and agree that
the mobile engine (including any updates) may (i) cause your device to
automatically communicate with Accenture or third-party servers to deliver the
functionality described regarding the mobile engine and/or record usage data
and metrics, (ii) view, affect or modify preferences or data stored on your
mobile engine, (iii) collect personal information to provide the features
described above and as set out in this privacy policy, (iv) read the contents
of your USB storage and phone status and identity to, and (v) view network and
Wi-Fi connections.
Information provided by
you – The mobile engine may
collect information that you voluntarily provide, for example when you register
to use the mobile engine using a username and password (if applicable) or when
completing a survey or requesting information.
We use this information
to provide you with the services you request
and for other purposes which we would describe to you at the point where your
information is collected. For example:

Such information collected by this mobile engine will
be collected and used in accordance with the terms of this privacy statement,
the Accenture Privacy Statement, applicable data privacy laws, and Accenture’s
internal policies.
How long do you keep my information for?
We will retain the data
for as long as you use the mobile engine and for a reasonable time
thereafter. Please note that some or all of the data may be required in
order for the mobile engine to function properly, and we may be required to
retain certain information by law.
Where
will my information be processed?
As a global organization
with global IT systems, personal data we collect may be routed, stored, or
transferred internationally throughout Accenture's worldwide organization or
our vendors. We have internal policies in place to ensure an equivalent level of
protection is in place across our organization. We may also share personal
data with our contracted service providers and advisors who may be located
globally and so we may need to transfer your personal data to other
countries. Before we do so, we take steps to ensure that your personal
data will be given adequate protection as required by relevant data protection
laws and Accenture’s internal policies.
Security
We take appropriate
steps to maintain the security of personal data collected via the mobile
engine. We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to help
protect your data. We maintain protocols, controls, and relevant policies and
procedures, taking into account the risks associated with the processing we
undertake.
What are my rights?
External Users: You are entitled to know whether we hold
personal data about you and, if we do, to have access to that personal data and
require it to be corrected and/or deleted if it is
inaccurate. You can do this by contacting us
using our Contact Us form.
In the event of a
conflict between this Accenture Privacy Statement, and the terms of the
applicable services agreement between a Client and Accenture, the terms of the
agreement will control.
Your Consent
By using the mobile engine, you are
consenting to the processing of your information, including the potential
transfer of your personal data to any of Accenture’s international affiliates,
partners and subprocessors, as set forth in this privacy statement
